The original Charge models were throw away items at premium prices. Anybody know if the new Charge 3 model will allow for a battery replacement?

Your dashboard is not on twitter it is on your fitbit dashboard where all your personal information is.

There is no customer service in FitBit. I chatted online with the support only to be asked a bunch of irrelevant question, and told me that i am a few days past the official support date. And even when the problem started before the warranty date. They ask me to purchase a new one but i am not that stupid.
No more FitBit products for me and i will tell this story to anyone who is looking for a smart fitness watch. Forget this brand. Low quality. Overpriced. Lousy support. The 3 qualities that will kill any tech company. The last time i said this to another was Palm Pilot. They did the same thing to me and true enough, they are gone now. I am watching this company's demise. I think Google made a mistake buying this company and inheriting many disgruntled customers. They should google themselves how unhappy FitBit customers are and this is also a golden opportunity for competitors to swap FitBit customers to other brands.
I swapped to Apple iWatch... but i heard many good things from my buddies using Garmin which is a much better product compared to FitBit at the same price point leve. Don't waste your time. Life is short. Get better things in your life.

Is there any Fitbit that you can replace the battery? I like my charge 3 but with a dead battery it’s useless

No there isn’t a replacement that I know of. They answered my email and told me to turn off all the notifications and refresh on the app at least 6 times a day.
A bit of a pain, but it does hold the charge a little better.

How do they stay in business? This is their idea of customer service. Mine is 13 months old I have had much cheaper watches last longer than that. Part of the problem is this is my 3rd fit bit it will be my last how many people are in the same boat they have had enough. American company's at their best, lets see how much money we can get from the customer, give them in an inferior product, no customer service and see how long we can keep them.

I do not know which is the best brand but I know for sure Fitbit is a no go. Don’t waste your money on this third class product.

My Fitbit has just been replaced under warranty. The new one I received came with a empty/dead battery. Draining a lithium polymer battery to 0% is the way to demolish such a battery (loss of capacity, danger of explosion or fire, etc).
Charging (or transporting) a too far drained battery is very risky (risk of explosion/fire). Too bad you can only see the battery status of a new watch when you start to charge... Besides supplying a product with a inferior battery they even put my health at risk, as well as that of the mail deliverer.
We can conclude they aren't the best in working with batteries...
I contacted Fitbit about what they did.

The warranty is only a year. I just went through this my Fitbit. Battery dies in a day, Fitbit won’t replace it. These things are junk with popular name.

Fitbit will not replace or repair your watch outside the one year warranty. They will give a discount on a new watch. 😡. I’ll never buy another one.

Same with me. I’ll buy a Fitbit again.

As of April 2021, there appears to be no movement on this thread. That's a pity -- Fitbit had an opportunity to offer battery replacement services and then squandered that loyalty-building opportunity. I cannot support a company that will not advertise a battery exchange service. Nope.
I might try a dodgey iFixIt repair on this unit. Perhaps I can purchase a safe replacment battery. If not, it'll get torn apart for scrap.

My charge 3 battery lasted a little bit over the one year warranty period. Customer service could not help and suggested a coupon which did not beat the Amazon price at that time. I was willing to replace the battery myself, but they are not available also. Dropped the Fitbit brand for now.

Hello everyone. @SashaFit123 Welcome to the community forums.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for the detailed information and for taking the time to provide your feedback. Please note that our team is always working to enhance your experience and your feedback is a big part of that process.
On a side note, the battery of Fitbit devices can't be changed and I appreciate your understanding but replacement devices are provided for products that are within the warranty period. If your original Charge 3 is no longer under warranty a discount could be an available option. For more information about our warranty policy, I recommend visiting the following link: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/legal/returns-and-warranty.
See you around.
