Is it the 22.55.22 the latest Charge 2 firmware?

Anyone know if the current 22.55 firmware is the final update for charge 2? I tried looking on the app on my iOS for the update button... but it looks like its no longer there. I am curious if that is it? I've only had my fitbit for a year and I am a little disappointed. *Shrugs* I don't know.

Hey @Tiphaan, welcome to the Community! As my friend @Odyssey13 said, yes, that update is the latest one that has been released for the Charge 2. If you have further questions, keep me posted!

@Tiphaan  when there is an update available for your device, you'll see the "update" on the app. Since that notice is no longer there and you're already at the latest firmware, you're all set.

Thanks for your reply @Tiphaan! If there is no "Update" banner, then you are all set, as @Odyssey13 said. There is nothing else to update, you can fully enjoy your Charge 2.

Why no one seems to understand her clear question? She asked (and I too) if this current one is THE LAST being issued for Charge 2 or there will be more. Because this one sucked badly, stopping a sync process lasted for over 1 year, and suddenly decided to stop, with no possibility to sync it back, to pair it back...stuck at the PIN moment, with Android Oreo onboard.

Hi @SunsetRunner

As long as the Charge 2 is still being sold by Fitbit, there is always a chance there will be an update. Once a device is retired, the updates eventually stop. It's no different than a computer or a smartphone being phased out and updates are no longer available.

So, the answer given, is the only one possible at this time. Fitbit tells us an update is available by announcing it on the forums and pushing the notification on the app.

As for your other question, I see you already posted about it in another forum area. Hope you get some responses there.

My device firmware is different than the app. I just received the 22.55.01 today — 3/19/19. The app version is 2.9. Should there be a correlation?

Thanks

Mary

Hi @ChgHRUsr

I believe the app version and the device firmware version wouldn't be the same. To be certain, I've asked a moderator to stop by to give their thoughts on this. Thanks for coming to the forums.

@ChgHRUsr Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Thank you for your inquiry. Just like @Odyssey13  said both numbers are unrelated so your tracker's firmware won't be the same as the app version running on your Android or iOS device.

Let me know how it goes.
