My charge 2 is completely dead. It started dying a few months ago...I followed all the updating info out there and it started running again, although spotty. This week it died completely, nothing brought it back. I want to know, is 1 and1/2 years the life expectancy for a Fitbit product? Just through it away and get the next new model. If that’s the case, might be time to try a Garmin.

I charged the Fitbit using both usb/computer and UL wall outlet. I went to the conversation you suggested and it stated using usb was best but using a UL outlet was acceptable. I also did not charge it excessively, unplugged after a couple of hours. I’m glad yours continues to work but the Fitbit community boards are loaded with people who have had the same issue(s) I had. This is my 4th Fitbit and I loved the Fitbit charge 2 but I’m not sure replacing every couple of years is in the budget.

I think it depends on many factors.
Charging are you Charging on the computer as states?
See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

But I have had mine since 2016 and its working very well still.
