First, I do not have a calories burned goal, but I was using the calories burned to help me estimate how much energy I burned and how for over my BMR it was.
Starting this weekend I've been getting reading much lower (about 500 kcal) lower than before. In fact if I go back a month I"m burning over 3000 calories on days I only had 1600 steps with no cardio. For the last week I've had over 8000 steps, climbing around 15 floors, and over 20 minutes in the fit zone but can't break 2600 calories. It's not done this over 6 days. This is way too low for some one my size. Any steps- calories converter on the web estimates calories burned way over what my fitbit does. I didn't update the firmware that I know of unless it was done without my knowledge. I'm wondering if my weight has been reset unintentionally but I don't know where to find it.
I really hope we can fix this. I look forward to a reply.

Thanks so much Raygalindo. After reading your post I checked the weight in profile and it had been changed to 8 lbs. I switched it back to my real weight and that seems to have fixed the "carlorie counting" problem.

Hello @azosonegro, hope you're doing good and enjoying some healthy activities.
This sounds really odd, my first suggestion is, as you've mentioned, checking that your personal information is properly set in your account, you can do this from the online Dashboard by clicking the gear icon from the top right corner of the screen, there select settings and from the left menu click on personal information, check the pictures attached below:
If you want to check this information in the mobile app, please go to the account tab, tap on your username and picture, there you'll find the option to manage your personal information.
You can also try to restart the Fitbit following the instructions posted by @AlejandraFitbit, once you're done, try to setup the tracker with your account one more time and test it. I'd also like to share with you this article about the accuracy of the Fitbit trackers and also this one about how the calories burned are calculated.
Hope this helps.

My FitBit is reporting a huge difference in calories also. I have been using FitBit for over three years and pretty much know what is my normal amount of calories burned and remaining calories (based on exercise and food eaten) and it is reporting about a 1000 calorie difference just in the last few days. I haven't changed anything in my profile or any other settings ... it just changed all of a sudden.
Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions on how to get it back to what it used to track/show?
Thanks,
George

Just to clarify, what has changed is the "Calories left to eat" number. I think the calories burned is okay, but I use the "calories left to eat" number to plan my meals and snacks based on the amount of exercise I have planned for the day (or doing) and the meals/snacks left in the day.

Mine have dropped as well, by about 800-1000. Haven’t changed anything on my personal settings. Very frustrating.

Had this same issue and I couldn't figure it out. I later found that my weight was changed to 7lbs. This maybe have been my weight loss goal but I honestly don't recall how that number got there.
