After reading many issues with upgrading to the new firmware, I am reluctant to upgrade. Have the issues been sorted yet or is it best to wait?

Thank you for the inquiry. The Firmware hasn't changed although not everyone had issues. You could keep your device with its current firmware version if you wish. Still if you have any issues you can let our Support team know and check the warranty here.
