Left for holiday and forgot Fitbit, left charging

I left for a 9 day holiday and realised I forgot my Fitbit, a charge 4 (the label is charge 3 as there was no charge 4 label), which is still charging at home. If I leave it like that is there a risk of damaging the Fitbit or overheating and even causing a fire? I'm really worried because I can't go back now and don't know whether to tell a friend to go to my house and unplug it, since it will be a long time. I would appreciate any advice!

Hi @Vicky_K1  if you feel comfortable asking your friend to unplug it, do that. I've read a few posts where someone has forgotten or gone from their home for a week or more with their Fitbit on the charger. Many of them returned home to a non-functioning device, but it's hard to tell if it was due to being on the charger or from something else. Better safe than sorry applies here. Call your friend and have them disconnect the Fitbit. Enjoy your vacation!
