Bright green light stays on and runs down battery. How can I get it to off?

My Fitbit (Charge2)just started doing the same...green lights flashing incessantly!!  I can’t even keep it on my bedside table anymore. 


I tried all the fixes suggested by Fitbit and nothing works. I can’t afford s as mother one so I put a piece of black electrical tape to cover the lights. So far, so good. 

Get a life Money-grabbit!!  You’re upgrades are crap
