Linking my account to my child's charge 2

Can anyone help please? I recently had a Charge 2 fitbit and my account is set up no problem. However my child has also now got a Charge 2 and I have set up a child account for him through my account but only shows me to link with an ACE tracker, which isn't what he's got. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hi @Bex19

The only Fitbit set for a child's account is the Ace.

Each country has certain laws protecting children. In the US, the age is 13 and in some European countries, the age is 16. The Ace was created so that children could wear a Fitbit and be protected under a monitored (by a family member) account.

If your child is older than those ages, they can have their own account, using their own email address. Free email addresses are easy to get.

Sorry for the frustration, but laws are made to protect and Fitbit, as any other company, has to abide by them.

The problem with lying about the ages is that the Fitbit goes by the age to determine stride, heart rate and other things. It's a choice you'll have to decide if it's worth doing in.

Just curious, but how old is your son? It's great he wants to be active.
