The Versa does have the multisport exercise mode, just like the Charge 2. Please remember that this is the Charge 2 board. If you have a question about a specific tracker it is better ask in the specific board.
@Pas47 the first place I would look is in the Fitbit help.
How do I use exercise apps and modes on my Fitbit device?

What if “SPIN” is not one of the options?

@Lurch_PFA, if you look at the instructions in the solution or in the link that @Rich_Laue posted just above your reply, you will find the instructions to add spinning.

On my Versa I am limited to 7 selected activities so if you have 7 selected there is no prompt to + one. Delete one you can live without then the + will appear in upper right corner of the app. Click on + and spinning is one of many you can add. Then is will appear as as option under exercise on your Versa device.

I haven't tried it yet, but my son-in-law straps his Fitbit through the loop at the back of his shoe when using either a stationary or recumbent bike.

what about if it's just a regular exercise bike, not spinning? And do I have to track my miles?

what us older people call using a stationary bike or Indoor cycling, is now often also called spinning, by the new generation. It sounds more modern and "cool"

Yes! I noticed this too! I was using the stationary bike which is also computerised. I looked at the calories I burned while using “spinning” on my fitbit and the calories on the stationary bike, and the ones on my fitbit wete WAY higher! I eventually just used the bike option and manually entered my stats: kilometres, time and calories

@xbiekesx so which is correct? does your stationary bike know your age, weight, fitness level, resting heart rate,BMR, current heart rate, etc.
@DebbieJalil Spinning is when your feet are doing the same motion as if the user was on a bike, but the user is simply not moving. IE Spinning in place

True, the bike only knows your current heart rate. I was just confused cause the difference in calories was so big 😅

in the gym I go to, spinning is different than just using a stationary bike as well. The spinning bikes are different too
