Looking for a refund - Flawed Fitbit Charge 2

I got my Fitbit Charge 2 on Christmas 2018, so I've been using it for less than 7 months and one of the straps continues to fall off for no reason. I've been reading other posts in this community to find a solution and I've follow the instructions to pull the metal clasp, but this doesn't seem to solve the problem. Also, by reading these posts I'm finding out that most people have received replacement straps, but then these ones start falling off a couple of months later until the warranty ends. So apparently these Fitbits have been manufactured with a flaw. I'm so disappointed to read this because I love my Fitbit and I had to stop wearing it to avoid losing it, but at this point I do not want to try new straps. I believe my Fitbit is still under warranty and I would like to receive a full refund, so I can find a similar product without this flaw.  Could you please advise how I can get a refund?

Thank you,

C.

That's going to be a problem. Although you will still be within the normal warranty period the terms of the warranty provide for a replacement in the event of a defect but not a refund. The important clause is:

"If such a defect arises and a return authorization request is received by Fitbit within the applicable Warranty Period, Fitbit will, at its option and to the extent permitted by law, either (1) repair the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts or (2) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product."

You can read the full terms via the link at the bottom of this page or via: https://www.fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty

Thanks for sending this. It’s disappointing to learn that Fitbit is not a company that stands by its products. I’ve wasted my money 😞 I’ll make sure others don’t make the same mistake.
