Loss of Bluetooth / GPS connectivity whilst in exercise mode

Recently all my activities that involve using the GPS has stopped functioning correctly.

 

My charge 2 shows the phone is connected when I start my run but soon approx 0.5miles later its lost the connection.

 

I'm on android 10 on a huawei p30 pro running emui 10.0.0.195.

 

My fitbit app has been removed and installed. I've cleared the Bluetooth cache, made sure Emui doesn't stop the process running in the background, reset the fitbit and tried again. But still has the same problem. 

 

However, I did notice something interesting. When I put my phone in performance mode I think the fitbit stayed connected during my run.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

 

 

****update****

Performance mode has no affect on the connectivity between the fitbit and mobile phone.

I'm quite disappointed with fitbit as a company. Having introduced fitbit to numerous friends and family members whom have had to re purchase new fitness trackers after theirs had broke outside of warranty. As they are invested and hooked into the fitbit ecosystem. I will not be buying again if this problem can not be solved. I am also disappointed with the lack of response and help from fitbit.
