Welcome to the Fitbit Community @RegazzinoFH. It's great to have you here. I'm afraid the Huawei Ascend Mate 8 is actually not part of the list of mobile devices supported by Fitbit. I've seen some users who sync their trackers to non supported mobile devices, however if they're not supported they might not work as intended.

The engineering team is constantly adding more devices to the list. I would recommend checking it out on a later date to see if support has been added.

In the meantime, you can still sync your Fitbit Charge 2 to a computer or a supported mobile device.

Hope to see you around more often. Cat Happy

If not compatible it worked well until last week.

@RegazzinoFH Did notifications stopped working just after you updated the OS version on your phone? If that's the case then you could contact Huawei or Google. Think about it, your tracker didn't change, your phone hardware didn't change, the only thing that changed was your phone's OS. Still you can try checking your phone's privacy settings (settings > privacy) and make sure it can show messages and notification on the lock screen as these settings could have been reset after the update. Check the apps permissions too (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions).

Let me know how it goes!

@RegazzinoFH if im reading your first post right, you say notofications through one app doesnt work, do they work with any other app, phone calls, or can you send a test notifacation? ,

There might be some setting in the OS to change if notifications dont work at all. It is not clear if you get any notifacations.

@Wally_S It's great to see you in the Fitbit Community. Sorry for the delayed response.

The Huawei P10 is not part of the list of compatible devices. In order to sync and receive notifications on your Fitbit Charge 2, it is really necessary that your cellphone be compatible. You can check out the list on this article.

Some users have resolved problems with notifications by following these troubleshooting steps.

If you have any question, please let me know.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. However Huawei P10 is listed in the list with compatibel devices so it should work (as it had been doing over the last year). Also I have a Flex 2 and not a Charge 2 but I'm not sure that makes a difference.... Any tips on how I get it working again?

@Wally_S Thanks for the response.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. As you mentioned, the Huawei P10 is actually compatible. The instructions to resolve syncing issues apply to both Charge 2 and Flex 2. If the troubleshooting steps provided above didn't work, please set up your Fitbit Flex 2 as a replacement device by following these steps:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon User-added image
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
