Missing Wallet Tile from Charge 3 in UK

I’ve just bought a Special Edition Charge 3. I’m in the UK and synced the device to my iPhone 6S. I’m trying to set up card payment but the wallet tile is not showing in the settings. Can anyone help me please?

Have you updated to the latest FW? The wallet tile wasn't added until FW v1.44.33, which is the latest current build.

Welcome on board @JagXK! My friend @N8teGee is right. To update your Charge 3, please see: How do I update my Fitbit device?

 

Once you've updated your tracker, to open the Wallet, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon> your device image > Wallet

 

To start, add at least 1 credit or debit card from a participating bank to the Wallet section of the Fitbit app:

 

  1. With your device nearby, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap the Wallet tile. 
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. If you’re setting up Fitbit Pay for the first time, you may be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device. Note that you also need passcode protection enabled for your phone.
  4. After you add a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.

 

You can add up to 5 cards to the Wallet, and choose which card to set as the default payment option on your device.

 

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

But how do you do this if there is NO wallet tile in the app?   My (second after first returned for screen only working while in the charging cradle) Fitbit Charge 3 was updated when it was activated and is on the latest firmware release.  It has the Fitbit Pay info printed on the tracker end.  I have force closed app several times, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted device, etc.  But there is NO wallet tile in the app to even begin the process of setting up Fitbit Pay.  How do I do it?   Note, I am in Australia. Thanks.  My earlier thread has had no answer posted either.

Thanks for jumping in here @edgewalker66! I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Tell me, have you removed the Wallet tile from your Charge 3 SE by pressing down the button and tapping on "Hide" recently? If so, this might explain why the Wallet tile has disappeared from the app. However, if you haven't done this, I would like to suggest you that when the Wallet tile is missing, please force-quit the app and open it again. 

 

If you're still noticing the wallet tile disappearing and you have already set up a card there, please let us know so we can check this further. 

 

In the meantime, I'd would like to gather some information from you so I can check this further:

 

  1. iPhone model you're using.
  2. OS running on your phone.
  3. App version installed on your phone (go to Account > Help to get it)
  4. Charge 3 version on your app (go to Account > Ionic to get it)

Hello!

I have the same problem, no Wallet tile. I am in Sweden. I bought the Special Edition, says on box "Fitbit Pay included". There's no way to add a card or anything. Here are the data you asked for:

 

  • iPhone model you're using: 7
  • OS running on your phone. 12.1
  • App version installed on your phone (go to Account > Help to get it): Fitbit 2.83 (804)
  • Charge 3 version on your app (go to Account > Ionic to get it) 20001.44.33

Thanks for getting back to me and for providing me with the requested information @BarbroA! It might have to do with the region you have set on your phone. Can you please double check that you have Sweden set.

 

I want to make sure you have your app location set to Sweden to ensure the Wallet tile is visible. So both on your phone and in the app it should be Sweden.

Hello again!

It did work when I set the country, but now it is gone again. I can see that the card is still set up to Wallet when I log in on my computer, but the tile is missing from my phone/app. I did have it, so I know where it should be and what it looks like, but it't just not there. Setting still Sweden.

Thanks for getting back @BarbroA! Hmmm... this is very strange, thanks for reporting it. 

 

If the settings are still in Sweden, I'd recommend doing the following:

 

  • Make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date
  • Log out of your Fitbit app
  • Force quit the app
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit app

Hey guys @MrStrom and @BarbroA! Thanks a lot for trying the tips and recommendations I've provided. 

 

Can you both make sure you have your country set correctly by doing to Account > Personal > Location?

I know you have checked this under the Advanced Settings tab, but let's do this on the Account > Personal section and let me know if this fix the issue withe Wallet tile.

Yes, I have been testing everything I found related to Wallet. I'm located in Sweden and all my region settings are correct. When I check the app today wallet was there again.
I know the apps was also there two weeks ago but when I should add my card begin of this week the app was gone.
Problem solved for me this time 😊
One other question regarding the Wallet, why do I need to put an invoice address in the app? Nothing should be sent to me except the invoice from the card company and they already have all my information. Can not see any benefit to have all my address information in the app.

Hi im stay in bangkok and my devise version is 20001.4 and still can't see the wallet tile even i log out and turn of my phone and turn back on im using iphone 6s, can you please help me to fix this

Hello!
When I had the same problem, they told me to make sure both the phone and the app were set to my country. Then restart the phone.
