Upgraded to Charge 3 from Charge 2 yesterday. Fluent in the use of the app, mobile track, etc.
(1) I'm noticing my calories burned today are a good bit lower than usual for time of day, which is likely related to issue (2) after my recent few syncs (all day sync is OFF and I sync at breaks, etc to check on challenges) a chunk of steps have disappeared. I was over 5000 at 2pm, and now down to 3448 within the hour. Shutdown and restarted phone, synced again, and the steps still are missing. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I have had mine since Friday and this is an issue still with iPhone and charge 3
i have disconnected my alta; restarted phone; rebooted the charge 3 several time daily; turned on and off Bluetooth
the only other thing I can think of is removing Fitbit app from my phone and reinstalling.
i understand this is a known issue Fitbit is working on so I guess we have to be patient for a solution
in meantime I have reinstalled my alta so I can continue tracking

I received my Charge 3 today. Based upon this thread, here is what I did.
First I synced my zip
Then I removed the zip from the fitbit app
Then I hard reset my iPhone 6s
After that, then I installed my Charge 3
I’ve been syncing and haven’t lost a single step and it pulled the steps I already had from the zip to the charge 3
We will see what tomorrow brings

Mine is now working great. Not losing steps, sleep tracking is good. Maybe a weird first day glitch?

Yup, everything is working well for me now: step tracking, sleep, notifications...yay!! (Now about the watch face choices...)

Hello everyone! Thanks for your continuous participation on this thread regarding the missing steps after syncing your Charge 3. Thank you all for sharing all the details about this.
I've seen that some of you are syncing without experiencing any step loss. I just wanted to jump in to ask if some of you are still experiencing the same?
Let me know if this has been resolved for you already.
Keep me posted!

My sync issue seemed to fix itself Tuesday (received and set up Friday Oct 5).
Left Alta unconnected from Tuesday until Friday when needed to charge me Charge3 and wanted my Alta to track overnight.
Alta still connected and no problems but I make sure the Alta is away in a drawer and never near my phone.
It almost seems like the charge had to get ‘used to me.

I've just had this happen. It seemed to occur after I changed to a different watch face in the mobile app.

I have just returned the Demon Fitbit Charge 3 to retailer and picked up a new Fitbit Charge 2 which I was using previously. Disappointed in the support from Fitbit on my Charge 3 issues.

I don't appear to be missing steps but there is no measurement data, meaning, no breakdown by hour. Also missing breakdown data for sleep, not tracking exercise at all or steps per hour. Have restarted app, phone, charge 3 etc... have the latest update. So frustrating!

I have a similar problem. The display on the Charge 3 shows 1006 steps but the app on my phone shows only 423. My charge 2 used to show my accumulated steps in a constant running total. I would take a long hike and after it was over the app would show a total like 10,000, With the Charge 3 I could take a similar hike and it would still show only 423. I have seriously considered going back to the Charge 2. Unfortunately I junked my old charge 2 because I thought it was interfering with the readings on the Charge 3. Big mistake. I should have thrown away the Charge 3 instead.
