My Charge 2 Battery Won’t Hold Charge

My Charge 2 fully charges , but only holds a charge a few hours.  I’ve owned the device approximately 1 1/2 years.

 

I read posts of others that have had this issue, and there is no technical solution.

 

I’m not asking for a solution.  Before buying a new device, I’m wondering if 1 1/2 years is about all I can expect.

@RJNoecker @FabianL Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't keeping its charge. @RJNoecker I had my Charge 2 for 2 years and really didn't have much issue with the battery. Hopefully you won't have issues with a new device but there is always the option of getting an extended warranty if you wish. @FabianL try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves.

Thanks for the information.  Nothing has helped, so I'll have to buy a new device.  I'll take your recommendation and get an extended warranty.  Haven't decided if it'll be a Fitbit.
