My Charge 2 and Charge 3 won't connect to the Fitbit app

Hello !

I've been ill and been a long time without connecting my Charge 2 and 3. Now I have a screen telling me"Error" and "Device has been decommissioned" 😞

Please help me !

Hi @Bertrandp - Sorry to hear you’ve been ill but happy to hear you seem to be on the mend. The Charge 2 is an older device so it does not surprise me to hear it may have been decommissioned. But the Charge 3 is newer. Are you getting the “decommissioned” message on both devices? 

 

You can try re-starting both devices then giving them a full charge. Keep your phone nearby in case you are prompted to upgrade the devices. It’s also a good idea to make sure your phone is at its most current update. Fitbit needs the following at a minimum.  

  • Apple iOS 12.2 or higher
  • Android OS 7.0 or higher

I'm an old man unable to use any "smartphone"👴

I'll ask my daughter help me when she will visit us for Christmas..
