@ladylibra1010 I hope you're doing well! Have you tried charging you tracker? Start by cleaning the tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush and then use cotton with rubbing alcohol to finish the process (clean the charging cable contacts too with this). After this try charging your tracker and try restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
  2. Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
  3. Your tracker should start charging.
  4. Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
  5. You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
  6. Make sure you are charging it by directly plugging it to a working USB port on your computer and avoid using USB hubs.

If this continues then you can try contacting support like @WendyB suggested.

Let me know how it goes!

After 19 months my fitbit died, was a good watch up until then My mistake was forgetting to remove it before i went for a swim. when i got back it rebooted then died and has not worked since. tried all the steps - nothing, tried to charge it just gets hot and does zip.

Decided to throw it away and never purchase another fitbit, I was dumb enough to believe i would get an electronic watch that lasts at least 3 years. This is my second fitbit device, first one lasted 14 months but failed as i dropped it so understandable. Switching back to my Omega and using my iPhone for an alarm clock.

My fitbit started showing the wrong heartbeat.  I took it off and left it overnight, tried this morning and is not working.  It will not charge.  Many thanks for any help.

My husband and I both have fitbits. His was only 6 months old and mine 5. His started acting funny losing time and no sensor lights and then it just died. No vibration, no lights, nothing. Then my Fitbit just died with the same symptoms black screen, no sensors, no vibration, nothing. This happened within two days of each other.  So either one of us has a working fitbit. Sorry about the long rant, but coincidence much?

My battery was at 75% when I synced this evening and now it's totally dead. It won't charge even after cleaning, and anyway, that shouldn't be a dead battery. At 75%, I usually have several more days before the battery gets low and I need to charge. 😡

My Fit Bit Versa is less than 2 years old.  Yesterday I put it in the charging cradle (at 47% charge) and after a few minute it died.....won't charge, won't reset (press Back and lower Right button).  Cleaned contacts with alcohol.  My husband's Fit Bit charges fine in the SAME charger.  Waited online for 20 minutes for a Live Chat with Fit Bit support......they gave me all the same things to try that I already tried.....nothing.  Bye Bye Fit Bit...hello Apple watch.

@SunsetRunner734 Welcome to the Community.

Let me help you with your Versa not working and thank you for reaching out to our Support team. I reached out to them to see what happened and they informed me that your device was outside the warranty period so they couldn't provide a replacement for your device. You can check the warranty here.

Let me know how it goes.

My Fitbit just died.  It had been charged , cleaned, was not old, and my second try at a Fitbit.  I too am done with this product which has resulted in replacement after replacement because they do not last more then 2 years before dying unexpectedly or having problems needed in a replacement.

The lifetime of fitbiy is 2 years or less. I've had 5 of them so far. I am done buying them. The waterproof is not really waterproof either.

This has happened to mine too, all out of the blue. I had 47% battery and it just did after a 2 he walk. Now it won’t charge. Everything has been cleaned ... nothing

Yes mine has died too. Appears to charge but won’t reboot. Screen black. A shame because I have integrated Fitbit into my life and now I feel a bit lost. Somehow I doubt that buying another Fitbit is a smart move if this is what happens after they reach a certain age.
