My Charge 3 adds steps without me doing anything

I turn my fitbit charge 3 on after waking up in the morning and it will say I already have done 40,000 steps +

This has happened for 3 days straight now, wondering how I can sort it so it doesn't have these extra steps.

To try to resolve the issue, please restart your Tracker by following these steps.

 

To negate the extra data, please visit this article, open the menu "How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?" and follow the instructions.
