My Charge 3 didn't record my swim correctly.

I just swam 2 x 500m sets and they both registered as 275m. Why is the Charge 3 so bad at tracking swimming?

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community @infin0.

The information provided is highly appreciated.

There are different factors that can affect a swimming session:

  • You completed only a few laps
  • You stopped to rest multiple times or in the middle of the pool
  • You stopped to rest for longer than 60 seconds after completing a pool length
  • You changed your stroke type midway through a length
  • You swam with a kickboard or without using your arms
  • You swam less than the minimum duration needed for your swim to be automatically recognized

If none of these situations are related to your case, please restart your Fitbit Charge 3 by following these steps. In addition, please make sure you have set the pool length for your Fitbit device. For instructions, please visit this article.
