Mine has not tracked my sleep in 2 weeks. Mine is registering hundreds and hundreds (usually over 700) minutes of Activity per day consistently, which leads me to believe this is the issue that my battery is draining by 40% per day. The screen goes completely dim and unreadable in any daylight so I cannot read the display even to tell the time. It usually takes me an hour or two of screwing around with the charge cable to get the Charge 3 to actually charge (yes, I use FitBit original charge cables). Mine is just coming up on 3 years old and I have had nothing but trouble since the beginning, especially with sleep tracking.
