My Charge 3 is always too dim

It doesn't matter if its on dim, normal, or auto, it is always too dim. It's hard to read even in standard lighting. I've read many threads here and it doesn't seem like there has ever been a resolution.

when I bought the thing it was really bright. I don't particularly care about auto-adjusting or how bright it is at night, it's better to be functional when I need it if I have a choice.\

Is there anyway to just set it to always be as bright as possible?

I've already done multiple long resets and factory resets and nothing works to get the brightness back to where it was.
