My Charge 3 screen doesn't show up when outside

For a few months now I can only see my screen when inside.  I have it set on Brightness but it does not show up when outside and is just dark. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me when my fit bit reaches about 18 months old.  Please can you help me.

I’ve actually had some luck getting the screen to function properly but like most of you it was short lived. It’s not worth the trouble to have to reset the screen 4 or 5 times a day.

Update!   I gave up!   Im not one to spend hours working on something this frustrating  Then my daughter pointed out all the used 3s for sale on line with non-working screens. Lol.  Who would buy something already broken?   I did buy another fitbit.  I got the 5.  Hoping the problem is fixed in the new model.  Good luck everyone.

My watch started doing this a few weeks ago.  Mine watch is about 2 1/2 years old.
