My Charge 3 screen has gone completely blank

My Charge 3 screen has finally gone completely blank, and I've tried all suggestions.  It still tracks - so I will continue to wear it until I can decide on what to purchase next.  I'm very disappointed especially since I have only had it about a year and I really liked the settings.  😥

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @GracefulAging.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

If you have restarted your Tracker I would recommend performing a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

In addition, you can try to change your Fitbit device's clock face.

This happened to me as well. I tried all the fixes and nothing has worked.
I spike to someone at Fitbit and because my Fitbit is 22 Months old, it is out of warranty.
Sorry, I was told!  Less than 2 yrs old and there is nothing they can do, other than give me a discount on another purchase!

Are you kidding me? I will NEVER buy another Fitbit.

Evidently, this is a common problem- where your watch goes black and you can only see your stats on the app. Fitbit should be resolving this issue. Instead they will be losing MANY customers!

Hello Jogger, Been looking to replace my Charge 3. I miss not having a watch! At first I thought I'd get another Charge 3 but the price hasn't come down even though it's an old model. I gave my husband my first tracker an Alta HR, which is still going strong no problems with the screen. Was talking to my son about it and his fiance is replacing her Fitbit Sense, which is not very old, and she is gifting it to me. I am happy to track my heart, steps and sleep. I have finally learned that life is not a competition, we do what's right for each of us, keep moving and God bless.
