My Charge 3 screen is blank and I cannot pair it again

I have been trying to pair my fitbit charge 3 after removing it from the app as this was not syncronising and screen was blank. I tried resetting multiple times and all I get is a smiley face. When trying to pair again I am receiving a 4 digit code which obviously I cannot see due to the fact that the display is off and it only vibrates
