Can anyone help?
My charge 3 Screen has randomly started to Fade. The screen has faded lines down it. I have charged, reset and changed the clock face and still no resolution. This is my third charge 3 in less than 6 months due to technical issues.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @MLBeltz.

I regret to hear that you are having difficulties with the screen of your Fitbit Charge 3.

Before going any further, please confirm that you have restarted your Tracker by following these steps. If you continue having the same problem, you can perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Please let us know if you have any question.

When I put my device on the charger and hold the button a smiley face appears after about 10 seconds then it goes back to the clock face. I tried taking it off of the charger as soon as the face appeared but it did not turn off, it went back to the clock face. The device did not vibrate at all.

I want to find out if anyone has feedback regarding blank lines on the charge 3 display.

Mine has blank or dead lines. I tried the 8 seconds charger restart, but nothing changed. Was unable to execute a 15 second restart on my charge 3.

I was told to try a reset, which also changed nothing, like you said, & I could not get it to restart either. I haven’t heard anything else yet.0

I have tried all of these things too and nothing has worked. Mine is only 8 months old so still in warranty.  Do i need a new one? Please can you let me know so that i can start the process?

My charge 3 started doing that after my family came back from the beach and I was in the ocean, had to order a Fitbit 4 with a warranty and about to see what happens. But not more water for any of my watches

I'll be contacting customer support to find out what can be done to fix it.

Since your Fitbit is still under warranty, probably better to contact them sooner than later.

My fitbit screen is so dim I can't read anything. I followed all possibilities to correct situation. As I went to charge my fitbit I noticed that 1 of the 3 nodes on the charging port is missing!  I bought it 2 1/2 years ago. What are my options?

I eventually managed to switch my charge 3 off and on again after watching this video https://youtu.be/ijnofRhSzaI

And the dim screen then eventually got brighter after switching between the different brightness settings in the charge 3 settings.

This is a quick video to show you the procedure used to completely power down your Fitbit Charge 3. This is useful if you plan to store your device for an extended period of time, or maybe you have two devices and want to prevent your Charge 3 from counting steps whilst being transported in your ...

Thanks for sharing the video. I have tried this multiple times & it just won’t power off. I get the bar but when I release the button the smiley face appears. Thinking it’s time for a new one....

Afraid you are on your own and need to purchase a new one.   The Charge 4 is a good one I hear.  Good luck.

YES! get it replaced quickly while still under warranty! mine faded and would not reset about a month after the year warranty & best they would offer was a coupon valid only via the fitbit site for a discount on a new one. i wound up getting a used one on fb marketplace instead for much less.
