Today I rode my stationary recumbent bike for the first time since getting my Fitbit Charge 3.
The bike has a both a Polar chest strap monitor & also reads heart rate if I grip the handles alongside the seat. These 2 methods of monitoring heart rate are extremely close but I noticed the reading on my wrist (Charge 3) was consistently 8-18 bpm higher. I realize different methods & different devices will provide different readings but the degree of difference was surprising. Can anyone explain why such a difference?
