My Charge 3 stopped notifying me about notifications

My charge 3 will not notify me of calls or texts unless I look in the notifications and see them there. My Snapchat will and it vibrates when someone is typing or has sent me one. I have tried changing the clock face, I have tried deleting it and adding it back onto my Bluetooth list, I also have tried unlocking my phone and leaving it unlocked and still nothing. I have had this problem since I got my Fitbit back in 2018 but it’s always worked after I changed the clock faces.

Hi there @jackiebee90, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 stopped notifying you about your notifications, I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling. I appreciate you've already tried to solve this issue prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue to help you.

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend checking the following information:

Share system notifications

  1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth > next to the name of your Fitbit device.
  2. Turn Share System notifications OFF and then back ON.

If you don’t see the Share system notifications option:

  1. Restart your Fitbit device.
  2. Tap Allow when you receive a message on your phone asking if you want your Fitbit device to show notifications.
  3. Tap next to the name of your Fitbit device and turn on Share System Notifications.

Show previews

Tap Settings > Notifications. Make sure Show Previews is set to Always or When Unlocked.

App notifications settings

For each app that sends notifications, tap Settings > Notifications > the name of the app and verify these settings:

  • Allow Notifications—On
  • Alerts > Notification Center—On
  • Show PreviewsAlways or When Unlocked

If the issue persists, would you mind letting me know which notifications are not working? Are they third-party apps or iOS default ones? I also have an iPhone and had a similar trouble with those messages, but I tried toggling the iMessage setting; general > Messages > iMessage and verified the "Show Previews" was on "Always".
