My Charge 4 turns off during peak exercise

My Charge 4 device has started turning off when I hit peak heart rate. This has happened once in normal mode and twice in run mode in the last couple of weeks. The screen goes blank and the side button unresponsive until I am back home and plug it into the charger.  It has not tracked anything beyond the point at which it vibrated once and then went blank. 

Can anyone suggest a fix or offer any help?
