My Charge won't charge and black screen

I am using the factory provided charging cable and have used several different power sources.  My charge will not charge.  It is unfortunately at 2% and about to die.  Along with that the screen is completely black.  .  Has anyone experienced this?  How can this be resolved?

My charge 2 also has a black screen.  But 1st it quit showing my heart rate so I went through all of the steps to fix it.  Got it working again for a few days.  THen it stopped again. Went crazy while I was going to sleep Friday night and kept saying notifications on. I tried to charge it but Saturday morning it went completely black, not charging and no response at all.  :(.

FYI i spoke with Fitbit on the phone and went thru the restart and recharge procedure. Still goes black. They said my battery is completely dead and basically this is a non repairable issue. I am out of warranty and they offered me 25% off a new purchase. I tried to get a steeper discount and was denied.
