Same problem. Fitbit says tough. Not happy and not buying another one.

I am having the same issue but yesterday I was able to get the screen back on but now my battery is dead again, died in about 10 minutes after being fully charged. This is only 20 months old, but of course not under warranty per Fitbit. I have contacted Fitbit and they don't care, I told them that users are very unhappy and to look at the community boards and all they say is they will give me a discount toward a new unit...which no way am I giving them another penny. This is my 2nd Fitbit in 7 years and I have the premium account and yet there is no loyalty for MY loyalty. Never again.

This happened to me after a little over a year of using it.

I am sorry and I hope you don't stick with Fitbit as they it seems they feel that they do not owe their customers any loyalty. How many other items do we purchase for $150. and up do we think it is ok to have it completely useless in such a short amount of time? I don't know about you...but I will not ever buy another one & I have moved onto a Garmin.

Same problem here…spoke to a rep who tried to walk me through a reset when I can’t see the screen. Didn’t work. Told him also about the MANY others having the same problem.  Said I can try to go through the warranty program. I’m also reluctant to purchase another Fitbit due to this!

My fitbit also gone dark for more than a year. There is no fix for this. It still does the tracking, so using it like that. Just you need to sync-up to the app to see the progress. For me, it was little difficult without a display in the beginning, but got used to it now. Only I don’t look at it often now. I just do a sync-up in the app at the end of day to see my progress.

Mine does the same thing every so often, but I've found that it's possible to reset it.

What works for me is to place it in the charger, plug it in,  then hold down the button on the side for 10 to 20 seconds, then release.  Wait a few moments and it  should restart itself.   Fingers crossed it works for you too
