My Fitbit Charge 2 wont log my sleep.

Hi All

I got my Fitbit charge 2 as a Christmas present last year so I have had it just over 4 months. In that time I have had only 42 days of properly logged sleep. All the rest has been basic sleep data. I have never had it log sleep for longer then 5 days in a row. I have tried everything that has been recommended. I've moved the device up and down my wrist, re-synced it, changed heart rate from auto to on, got a different band so I could tighten/loosen it better, attempted to change the position I sleep in, even swapped Fitbits with my other half who was having no problems. All to no avail! I really wanted the proper sleep data to see if it could tell me why I always wake up feeling tired no matter how much or how little sleep I get. I have tried everything that has been suggested by both Fitbit and this forum. Could it be that some people are the wrong shape or have their veins too deep or something to stop the logging? I don't know what else to do. Everything else works fine as far as I can tell so why doesn't this? I've just gone 20 days with no proper logging. The last time my sleep was logged was 14/04/2019 and it claimed I spent 9hr 29min with nothing but light sleep and awake times. No REM or deep sleep. That seems a bit iffy. Help!!!!

@LesleyWatts Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

I will assist you with your sleep logging and sorry for the late reply. Also thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.

Let me know how it goes.
