I cannot contact anybody and I don't know how to solve my issue. Since the covid 19 and lockdown happened, I didn't walk outside and I didn't use my fitbit. Now I wanted to start again and I discover thatit is not starting. I tried to plug in, pressed the left button for 10 seconds, I felt a vibration, sometime the face appear, sometime not. Sometime the face stays for minutes on the screen, then it disappear. No green light in the back either. It didn't fall, I just didn't use it for months. The screens is black and nothing happen if I touch and press, charge, remove from charge.. I tried everything. The bad thing is that my warranty is expired only one month and half ago and and thanks to this Covid19 I didn't notice before. There is any chance to get assistance anyway? The device is clearly faulty. I cannot contact anybody because with the lockdown they have also limited assistance... so annoying

I contacted Fitbit after I had tried all the suggestions posted. The person on the phone was very nice, and he walked me through all the steps I had already done (to no avail). He said he would send an email with 25% off another purchase. My question to him was, "why would I buy another one?" Based on all the comments, this appears to be a widespread issue (I was out of warranty by 90 days) and the best they can do is 25% off???? They should fix the problem and/or stand behind their product...

I managed to chat with the support... well, after following all the instructions to try to fix the problem, he just told me that since my device is out of warranty, the only option is to buy a new one. And no discount!! Anyway I totally agree with you.. why should I buy a new one? I will go for an Apple watch instead! Cheers

Same here. My Fitbit screen is severely distorted. I’ve had it not quite 2 years and the best I got was that I could buy a new one with a discount. So disappointed. Are they designed to quit working so we all buy again?? I’d like to know the average lifetime of these😠

I think the average lifespan must be two years. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of complaints about this devise dying right around the two year mark. Coupled with the forced upgrade, nobody’s devise is working. The best solution anyone has posted has been a 25% discount on a new devise. Why would we buy another Fitbit product is they don’t stand behind the product? Researching Apple and Garmin for my replacement.

Very Good information! It saddens me not to have my Fitbit anymore bc I was a HUGE Fitbit fan, but I cannot/will not support a company that has utter disrespect for loyal customers and lacks the decency to stand behind their product. Thanks again for the info.

I agree with all the comments of buying another brand. Fitbit collects so much information that it then sells to others and continues provide limited use products. Do you wonder where all of your heart rate, sleep, weight, location, etc information goes & why you can only see a summaries of some of it? If the Google purchase of Fitbit goes through your entire health & travel life will be in their data banks. Health insurance companies would surely love to have all the details so policies could be written to their advantage. Sorry to sound like a conspiracy person but these are the facts.
