Hi there @LauraBo100. Welcome to Community Forums. @Monton, @Biscuit1231 and @TeresaForum, it's good to have you back.
I appreciate you share your experience. I'd recommend you follow these steps to restart your device.
Also you can try to change your clock face, if this fixes the issue, you can change it back to the original clock face. If you are using a third-party clock face, please switch to a Fitbit clock face and try the troubleshooting again.
Or check if you have the sleep mode or Do Not Disturb mode on.
If the issue persists please contact our Support Team.
Hope this helps.

Mine did the same thing yesterday. Customer support had me try a few things with no change. They sent problem up the chain to investigate. Was told watch is defective. It’s 2 years old so not under warranty. Will give 35% off new Fitbit.

Mine has gotten dimmer and dimmer over the past several weeks - thought it was just my eyes, but seems it may be a watch defect.

Thank you for the tips - I'll try then tomorrow as my phone is charging right now. I suspect I may have turned on sleep mode at some point without realizing it!

Both my do not disturb & sleep modes were on for some reason but turned them off and my brightness has returned. Glad it's sorted, thank you..

Mine has done this too, and it's frustrating as I cannot see anything on it. It stills works fine, but I have to check with my phone. I want to be able to use my watch while exercising.
