My charge 3 screen is a mess of vertical lines

Does anyone have any suggestions, or a similar experience? I ordered a Fitbit charge 3 from Amazon at Christmas, I receiveit on the 23rd of Dec. Last night I put it in the charger, and this morning woke up and the screen is covered in vertical lines, and it will not sync. I have restarted it correctly with the smiley face procedure, changed the faces through the phone app, but it's still looking like it's wrecked 😞Wow Look at that screen!Wow Look at that screen!

Hi

Mine developed these same white lines a couple of weeks ago, tried all the usual reboots - nothing has worked.

As of this afternoon it is completely corrupted, with the screen constantly flickering and juddering about.

Not sure that this is salvegable now!

@DougWalker Welcome to the commuinty, from your image it looks like your display has developed a fault. As your Charge 3 will be under warranty, please do contact Customer Support with your image and they will assist you with this.

I did a live chat with Fitbit customer support on their website, and showed them a picture of it and since my Fitbit was only a few months old they replaced it under warranty pretty quickly. Had a new one in the mail within 10 days.

I did a live chat and was told I would get an email, which I have not so I have zero resolution. I would love to just have this one fixed but if a replacement is necessary I would like to get that in the works. I am glad all went well for you.

I doubt there's a fix if it's the same thing as mine. Replacement is
probably best. If you haven't heard back from them, phone again.

Same thing happened to my Charge 3. I contacted Fitbit Support and they sent me a link for replacement request. Currently waiting for their response on the status.

M’y Fist Bit has this same issue with the screen. What’s the resolution to this problem? I really like my Fit Bit, but the screen is annoying.

If it's under warranty start a service ticket via online chat and you'll
have it replaced in 10 days to your doorstep. That's what I did. No worries
easy peasy. Show them a picture of it.

Just adding to the "me too"...   Yes, it also happened to me with my Charge 3.

My older fitbit stopped working after several years, and the Charge 3 was coming out so I bought one "pre-release" and had it a few days after release day.

last night, it was working fine, went to sleep... woke up this morning to the screen having the same lines through it yours has.

Mine is exactly the same and I've done the restart as well, made no difference 🤔

Yeah it seems to be a not entirely uncommon issue. I was able to get mine replaced within 10 days of opening a ticket with Fitbit support. If it's under warranty you should be golden.

Thank you for posting your issue. I had the same issue and contacted Customer Support for assistance. Just a side note, but they had me take a picture of the device along with a handwritten note showing the Case number.

This is the same thing that mine has, I have had mine for quite a while (brought it almost as soon as it came out).... have no idea what to do with it, it also doesn't even turn off properly when I tap the side button to make screen go black...

Hi there

I have just searched for the problem I have with my Charge 3 and this is exactly what my screen looks like. My charge 3 was an xmas present ( dec 18) but I didnt start using it until february this year.  I love it....it has been great with no problems until yesterday ( which happened to be my birthday !!! grrr).

It hasn't synced either. 

Help !!!

Contact Fitbit directly I did and as mine was under warranty I got a free
replacement Fitbit...

I live in the UK and my Charge3 which is only 7 months old developed the same problem yesterday.  Despite rebooting both via the screen and the charging cable it still is the same, and now has also developed back horizontal line across the top of the screen.

I got on to FitBit Live Chat via the website, and after multiple suggestions of what to do, all of which I had already tried, they decided that I qualified for a brand new replacement.  Within 2 hours of ending the live chat, I got an email to say that the replacement had already been dispatched, and that it would be with me in 4 working days.

AMAZING service from FitBit....but  they need to address the issue that a lot of people seem to be having!
