My charge 3 screen is a mess of vertical lines

Does anyone have any suggestions, or a similar experience? I ordered a Fitbit charge 3 from Amazon at Christmas, I receiveit on the 23rd of Dec. Last night I put it in the charger, and this morning woke up and the screen is covered in vertical lines, and it will not sync. I have restarted it correctly with the smiley face procedure, changed the faces through the phone app, but it's still looking like it's wrecked 😞Wow Look at that screen!Wow Look at that screen!

My fitbit is  15 months old. Now I have white lines all of a sudden. I did a reset, and they are still there. Obviously with all of the people posting here, there is a flaw in the product. I assume this is another disposable $130 product. If they do not fix it, I guess I'll buy a garmin, or an Apple watch, and get an extended warrantee. It is a shame because I love the product.

I have always thought fitbit was the best, but after this, I am never buying one again. I think apple is the way to go, or i have considered samsung as well. it sucks because you can use a fitbit on windows and it's a good option. but too many flaws. i have had multiple problems. lines, not syncing, not turning on. might give fitbit another chance in the future.

I'm in a cruddy situation. I bought my charge 3 last Jan. Then inAig of 2019, my screen developed the little lines, and then completely went blank. Fitbit was great and sent me out a replacement. Here we are in April of 2020 and the replacement is doing the exact same thing my original one was doing. Kicker is that now its no longer under warranty. One device lasted 8 months and the replacement lasted 8 months. I guess that's theife span? Oh, and it no longer syncs with my phone. So I have a piece of crap that I spent $130 on. I'm pretty sure that was my last fitbit. My previous one lasted 3 years. Apparently it's a policy that can't be broken. Too bad since they sent out a faulty device that doesn't even last a year.

Mine is just north of 15 months.  I suppose I should feel special!  It's still working, but the lines are terrible to look at.

Heb sinds kort hetzelfde probleem. Strepen, kan niet meer swipen om te zien hoeveel stappen ik heb gezet. Het enige wat ik zie is de tijd.

Yea, I put a ticket in, and they said do a reset. Even though in the ticket, I said I did a reset. I'm just going to buy a Garmin, or Apple Watch. I loved my Fitbit, but they lost a customer. Just another company that sells $100+ disposable electronics.

I agree.  I wish they would offer a recall.  I'm on my second Charge 3, my first one was replaced under warranty.  Same issue with the vertical lines, and it's happened again on my second charge.  Now, it won't track my active minutes correctly.  I'm on hold right now, I hope I can speak to one of their customer care reps about it, but I also completely understand things aren't currently operating as normal in the world and this is minor compared to what others are dealing with.  But...I'm still frustrated.

I went through the same process and they would not honor the warranty due to the fact that it was a warranty replacement.  The original Fitbit and the replacement only lasted about 7 months each.  My replacement finally totally stopped working.

The solution they provide is to purchase a new one.

I did make a purchase. Much better company, much better customer support. Same price, way more features. https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/605739

Did you end up getting a new Fitbit? If so, which one?

I wouldn't buy a new Fitbit. My friend who has the versa stopped syncing. She had many other issues. At this point, I wouldn't go back to Fitbit.

I've had this happen twice. Hey on chat with Fitbit support, they will have
you go through attempting to reset it... Then they'll offer to replace it,
for free. If you've had it since Christmas, you should still be under
warranty.

Mine has exactly the same thing. The battery was getting low, so thought that was the reason why. I put it on charge, but the lines were still there. Looking on the forum, it appears to be an extremely common problem. It this only happening with Charge 3? So I did everything that was suggested ... restarted/cleared data/changed the face ... nothing!! Seems really weird that mine is 2 years old and some are only a couple of months old.  What’s going on Fitbit 🤷🏻‍:female_sign:
