My charge 4 has stopped displaying maps after run

Last week my charge was no longer holding the GPS signal so my maps would show that I jumped from one spot to another (mile away or more).  Now I am not getting a map displayed AT ALL.  This seems to have happened prior to the latest firmware update.

I prefer to use the Dynamic or watch GPS so that I get heart rate information, etc. -- have been using it for the past year plus without a problem. But now even connecting to the the phone GPS doesn't work.  I literally have to track using the phone app -- which then limits the amount of data I can view.

If that's the case -- that only my phone works --  what's the point keeping this watch?

Thanks for your attention Juan!

I figured out the problem -- along with a couple other peculiarities that seemed to have "just happened".  I discovered that the GPS setting under the Exercise type - "RUN" had been switched to off.  The thing is, I didn't even know this existed!  Similarly, my watch also recently stopped tracking my heart rate -- I don't think I realized (or I forgot) that this was a setting that I could control.   Anyway, after finding the GPS setting, I applied the same logic to (re)discovering the HR setting and now I'm back in business!

Have a great day!

@MichPorter , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

Do you have MobileTrack active on your Fitbit App? If so, this could explain the situation. As MobileTrack uses the step data from your phone and will not use GPS connection. This can sometime overwrite the info tracked by your Charge 4.

You can verify if this active, when you tap on your profile picture on the app.

you'll see the devices and features linked to your account.

If you see MobileTrack there, tap on it and remove it from your account.

Hope this helps.
