Is there a way to remote reset it as I can't go looking for brightness changes when I can't actually read it. I probbaly should have attempted to send the fitbit back when I realised it was constantly going dim. This FitBit is really only able to be read at night. I really only use it as a stepometer with my friends. My cell phone tells me the time as it can't be read on the fitbit.
Has their been a problem that these fitbits get dimmer and dimmer with age???

@SunsetRunner , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your message and information.
Have you already tried to restart the Charge 4? How do I restart my Fitbit device?
See you around.

I don’t think there’s a setting or anything to fix this. I bought this watch for running ( outside) and I have to stop and cover the screen to see it which defeats the purpose when wondering pace… also the font is too small to see anything but main stat. So far disappointed.

Hi Juan - thanks for the info to reset via the cradle as, obviously, with a too dark screen I can't see to do it the conventional way. I have rest it twice but still can't see the screen 😞

I had the same problem! I found a place where I could make out the dim text on my watch, I went looking on my watch to see if I could figure out the problem. I found the Settings area and a Brightness control and discovered it was set to Dim. When I changed it to Normal, I could read everything just like it used to be. There's also an Auto brightness but I opted for Normal since I'm not sure I trust an auto option. Probably auto would be a battery saver but I don't care. The mystery to me is how/why the brightness got changed. Settings is not an area I ever go to so I don't think it was anything I did to cause the Dim light. I see a number of other posters have mentioned similar experience recently. Coincidence???
