My fitbit charge 4 is not turning back on after charge

My fitbit died this morning, I put it on charge and it has fully charged. When I unplugged the charger the screen doesn't come back on and the watch just continuously vibrates. Tried to plug it back in to charge but again the screen doesn't work and it just vibrates. Tried to press the button to reset it but it won't stop vibrating. I've only had it since Christmas.

I'm having the same issue. Just vibrations and no screen and it won't sync with my app

I have the same issue. On Saturday it died suddenly even though I had over 50% of a charge, and I contacted support about that. They said they were reading abnormal battery activity, and had me restart it and said to sync 5-6 times a day until the battery was depleted. Last night (Sunday night) I went to check the the right before bed, and the screen wouldn't light up and I wouldn't get any notifications or anything. After restarting it and trying to change the clock face, I still got no display.

So after troubleshooting with tech support they gave me a 35% discount code for a new fitbit since I'm a month past warranty. Today when I tried it again before starting to shop, I put it on the charger and it started just vibrating whenever I touched the button.

I bought a newer one and added an extra year of protection on it, so if it goes bad in 13 months I'll be able to replace it for free.

I feel like they decided to send a code to a lot of devices to force us to buy new products...

It happened to me yesterday and I’ve tried everything to get it going. No response except buzzing. Then, this morning it’s lost it’s Bluetooth connection to my iPhone. I’m

giving up on it.
time to get an Apple Watch.

It’s the second Fitbit to let me down. I won’t be buying a third device. I don’t consider then to be reliable enough - plus they aren’t cheap.

Same problem- strange that the same problem has affected so many in such a short period?.  Call me a cynic but…..

It’s my second Fitbit that’s failed. The first failed after 14 months (lithium battery rotted) almost exactly a year ago and they replaced it free under guarantee - but with the caveat that they would only guarantee the replacent for what was left of the time from the first. So number two Fitbit had run out of time, and I’ve run out of patience!

After a chat with Customer Serices a replacement offer was issued: either 50% off a different Fitbit or free replacement of the Charge 4. Charge 4 is in the post. Hopefully it will not suffer the same gremlin issues as the last one.
Still question why so many reported the same problem in such short period of time??

It’s very strange that we all seem to have the same problem during the same week.
Thanks for the update. Which  customer service contact did you use ?

If you go on your Fitbit app and help and support there should be a chat option

I did that. I get 35% off another fitbit. No solution on what actually caused the problem.  My 1st fitbit lasted about 8 months, my 2nd made it just over a year. There won't be a 3rd after seeing all the comments that they only made it a year too. I'll pay a little extra this time for a galaxy watch and hope for a better outcome.

That's why I paid a little more for the 2 year warranty. If this one goes bad within a year (or 25 months from now...) I'll switch to something else too. Seems very strange so many are having the same issue at the same time and so close to the end of warranty...

Strange coincidence that it happened to so many people just as they released Charge 5.

It was a year ago and I contacted
https://contact.fitbit.com. I thought it was pretty mean to only give me a partial warranty - oh, and they didn’t include a strap.
I haven’t bothered this time. I’ll get an Apple watch instead.
