My heart zone isn't tracked when I track run or walk

Yesterday I walk/ran 3.8 miles round trip around a park, and used the GPS under exercise to track. Unfortunately it keeps giving me the message (not enough heart rate data available) after I view it.

Today I walked 1/2 mile in 11 minutes with walking poles and again same thing no heart rate data available.

Any ideas why that is happening? Am I using this feature wrong? Is there some other reason it's not logging the heart zone information?

@SunsetRunner   I just want to make sure I am understanding what you wrote.  Are you saying that you started your walks from the phone app?  That you tapped on the + on the Exercise tile on the phone app and saw the GPS map on your phone?  If this is what you did, then you were using a Feature called MobileRun.  Something happened to MobileRun in Oct 2019.  Instead of the heart rate trace, everyone gets the not enough data message.  This seems to be true for iOS and Android.  As an iPhone user, I can confirm with the iOS version.

To get a map with all the data, you need to use the Exercise app on the Charge 3 itself.  This Help article has instructions.  How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?   There is a section on customizing the Exercise Shortcuts.  If Walk is your favorite, I'm sure you will want to put that first.  When I run/walk, I still use the Walk shortcut.

@SunsetRunner   You were using MobileRun, the feature I described.  MobileRun showed heart rate until 2019, then it stopped.  A lot of time has gone by and I doubt that it will be fixed.  You need to use the Exercise App on your Charge 3 with the appropriate exercise shortcut to get all the information.

@SunsetRunner   You need to use the Exercise app on the Versa 2 to get the map and your heart rate data.  Use the link in my previous post for instructions.
