My new charge 2 wont sync or update

The only time it synced was when I managed to connect it to the app last night by rebooting my phone. Since then it refuses to sync or update.

I tried rebooting the phone, the tracker, reinstalling the app, removing the tracker from bluetooth, resetting internet and bluetooth, clearing the cashe of the app, updating the phone, force stopping the app multiple times.

 

The tracker works, its battery is fully charged, it tracks steps and heartrate fine, but it just doesnt sync at all, the time of last sync is marked as the time I first connected the tracker to the app, yesterday. Trying to update it fails as well.

 

The phone is a Xiaomi Redmi 8 and runs android. 

 

I dont know what else to do anymore.
