I'm disgusted! The second Fitbit Charge HR I've purchased in the last 3 years has come apart and stopped working. I'm hesitant to purchase a 3rd because when I contacted the seller/company when my current one wouldn't accept a charge, I was supposed to get a replacement. Never came. Now I'm without one because my latest doesn't work. I would not recommend this product. It's evidently cheaply made or wouldn't it last longer than a year or so? Plus, neither of my Fitbits has ever held a charge for more than 3 days. Total BS!

I know several that still have their 4+ year old e working.
I agree that fitbits fits attempt at an arm based unit has band problems.
That is where others have stepped in and repair kits are easily found on Amazon. Both my brothers are happy with the ones they bought and where easy to replace. The one brother also replaced the battery at this time.
There is one major competitor of Fitbit who gets annoyed if their watch doesn't fail in the 3rd year. They expect it too and depend on the user replacing it.

Sometimes contacts simply need to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.
First thing I also do is go into Amazon and purchase a second charging cable. Often I see them at 2 for under $10. One goes in the car and the other is a stand buy to test when a unit doesn't charge.
