I hit the 10,000 steps then synced it with the app, and then my steps reduced by almost 1,000 - has anyone else experienced this or know why?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll be glad to help you to figure out why your steps on the Charge 3 have reduced after syncing.
I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and saw that they tried to help you. However, they haven't hear back from you since May 8th. If you haven't done so yet, please check your inbox. If you still need help, please don't hesitate to reply back to your case so they can continue assisting you.
If this happened only once, we are not sure what might have caused this, but we would expect this to be one glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your Charge 3.
