I had a Charge 2, but upgraded to a Versa. I gave my Charge 2 to my daughter - I did the factory reset (with it plugged into the charger, pressed the side button until it restarted), I set up an account for her with her own email address - so I don't see how the two are connecting. However, I was shocked when she started getting my text messages on her device. Initially I went into her fitbit account and mine and unchecked "family sharing" under notifications, somehow it seemed to correct itself, but today she started getting my text message notifications to her device again. How do I fix this? I have an iPhone 8 if that matters or helps?

Right after I posted this, I happened to think that maybe I need to remove the device from my phone, so I went under settings, bluetooth and the Charge 2 was still listed there. I selected that device and chose "forget this device". So hopefully this will fix it - we'll see when she gets home from school!

I had the exact problem when my daughter inherited one of my Fitbit devices. She kept getting my notifications. Here are a couple things to try:
That took care of it for us. Please let us know if this resolves your problem.
