My tracker counts the 250 step every hour, my app misses one or two

My tracker is counting the 250 step every hour, but my app misses one or two. I have had this problem for awhile and it still has not gotten fixed. Is anyone going to fix this problem.  I saw somewhere where they said it was fixed but it hasn't been fixed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

@negron1953 Thank you for your understanding. I know how great it feels when your app or Dashboard shows everything in green meaning that you reached all your goals. I have read from another member that if you try reaching for 350 steps instead of just 250 the app will more likely show the hour as complete. Please try this and let me know if it works for you.

@negron1953 It's nice to have you on board! Currently this issue is being investigated so I can only ask for your patience while the engineers fix it. You can check @CallieM's post to stay up to date with the situation.

Thank you very much for replying. I know it may be a small thing but when you want to track your progress and see that your app doesn't reflect the tracker it's disappointing. Believe it or not these little accomplishments continue to  motivate me. I truly hope your engineers can fix the problem soon.

I certainly will give that a try. If it works even better because I would have 100 more steps towards my end goal. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll let you know if it works.

Thank you so much. The 359 steps method seems to be working so far. Happy camper now.

My FitBit Charge 2 told me I had 14 of 14 hours on Monday the 13th. The dashboard didn't count the first hour.  How do I correct this.  I have had 14 of 14 hour for the last 3 days. I want it to reflect correctly.  Thank you.

If you try stepping for 350 steps it will count it. Be care not to have 3-4 minutes left to do you steps cause you may run out of time even though you just make the steps. So far  the 350 steps instead of 250 steps is giving me my hourly completion. You may also want to try 50 steps more then the 250. That's also seems to work for me.

@SpyGirl I hope you're doing well!

@negron1953 Glad to hear that the 350 steps method is working for you and this will increase your activity so it is a win- win situation although I do hope the issue is resolved from our side.

@SpyGirl you can check my previous post that explains what it is happening and also try the suggestion about walking 350 steps an hour instead of the 250 standard steps.

This has been an issue since last year!   Wonder why  a fix it is not included in an updated.  While I will try for the 350, that really is a work around not a real solution!!

@SunsetRunner Thanks for joining us! This is currently a bug being investigated as stated in my previous post so hopefully it will be resolved soon but at this time I don't have an estimated time for this. The 350 steps trick is actually a suggestion from another member and I only posted it as a workaround not the solution to this situation.

How is this a solution?  The metric is 250 steps not 350.  Additionally tracker does not show how many steps you have for the hour after you reach 250, it only show you have completed that hour.

Nobody is saying the 350 steps is a solution, at best it is a workaround,  that might not even work anymore. Since this was before the fix that created a different problem, but with the same result for some users.

Allthough now it includes more than just Android users.

So what is the fix?

As has pointed out we are waiting for the developers to identify and find the solution. Not much a user is able to do.

So, here it is, July 2020, and this problem is still around.   3 years is a long time to wait for a fix.
