After having my charge two for a week, the part of the band that attaches to the actual Fitbit broke. I got a new one, but it broke in the exact same exact spot. Would my warranty still cover another one since I just got it replaced? And what can I do to stop this from happening? It hasn't even been a month since I've purchased it and only seems to last a week before the wristband breaks.

Since I replaced the band with one from Amazon I haven't had a single problem. The band is actually outlasting the watch itself. The watch is cracking etc...

The metal magnet wrist band offered on Amazon is AMAZING! I paid $9.99 and it is beautiful, sturdy and much easier to wear and slip on and off. I wouldn’t pay a dime for another FitBit band!
Could you please tell us which exact metal magnet wrist band from Amazon is successful for you. There are several available. Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. My first wristband broke less than a year after I got it (about 8 months) and the replacement that I received last August just broke (roughly 11 months later), but customer service won't send me a new once because of your warranty policy not applying to replaced parts, even though the wristbands are clearly defective as evidenced by this thread and my own experience.
This happened 2 days ago, and I've exported all of my data and stopped using the app, but I will definitely start using my Fitbit again if you send me another wristband. Otherwise I'm going to switch to a competing brand, and there are many out there (Samsung, Garmin, and Apple all sell similar products). I'm pretty sure its easier to retain a customer than gain a new one, so how about sending another wristband? I'm not shelling out 30 bucks every 8-10 months for a new wristband. And I might even get the Charge 3 someday! But that definitely won't be happening if it also has a junky wristband that you won't replace!
Fingers crossed?

I finally lost mine. As I mentioned above, my Charge2 was giving me a rash on my wrist, so I tried to place the device itself inside the belt clip for a Fitbit Zip. That worked for a while, until it slipped out of the belt clip case when I didn't notice. So, now that I've lost it, it's a relief, to be honest! Now I can stop worrying about trying to make it work for me, and I can look at other options.
I have a Zip, but it goes through batteries every two weeks (instead of the six months that they're supposed to last), and battery door is almost impossible to open, so I'm not going to use that either.
Freedom!

I agree that the band for the Charge 2 should have been redesigned. However since it is about a year since the Charge 2 was retired, I don't think this will happen.
For the price of 2 cups of coffee, the user can purchase a third party bans on Amazon that has the redesign Fitbit should have made.

my 2 dollar band from Ebay has been working fine for over 1 year, it outlasted the original one which lasted less then 6 months.

Hello everyone, thank you for your updates and sorry for the delay in my reply. If you are having issues with your band then please let our Support team know so they can further assist you with it. Also as many have mentioned you can find third party options on Amazon and eBay just know that since they aren't Fitbit products they aren't covered by Fitbit's warranty. You will need to reach out to the seller for this information.
Let me know how it goes.
