Hello. Apologies if this has been covered ( I couldn't find any posts). New Charge 2 has thousands of steps logged within the past few weeks. Possibly a result of shipping? Only thing I can think of unless it's a previously owned and returned unit.

Hi @SunsetRunner it's possible that those steps did get on there while in transit. Once you get set up, using your email address, those steps should be gone. If not, you can remove them manually. Have you set it up yet? Let us know and welcome to the forums!

Hello Odyssey13 & thanks much for the welcome.
The steps are still there after setup. They were logged from 9/21 through 10/13 with 9/26 having the busiest day (48,535 steps).
I don't care if this is from transport, just don't want a used or refurbished as it was sold to me as new.
Certainly had a "new" look to it. Tamper stickers were in place & no evidence of use other than the steps recorded.
"Active minutes" show 0 on all days (even days with logged steps)
How can I delete them manually? Do I need to sync to a laptop? (only connected to my phone app so far.)

@SunsetRunner read this post from a while back - click to go there - on how to make steps into an activity. It's not perfect, but it can be done. I'm sure you have a new device, but you'd know the retailer and if they are prone to this or not. If you do have further questions, you can always get with customer support. Let us know.
