New Charge 3 screen pixelated and showing lines

I upgraded to the Charge 3 because I liked some of the additional features that my Alta did not have. I had my Alta for years with no issues, so I was disappointed to encounter issues with my Charge 3 after having it for only 2 months. It started with a horizontal line going through the screen, then evolved to the top left of the screen getting pixelated, swiping to a different screen would cause the screen to freeze and the 250 steps in an hour reminder stopped working. I have an iPhone7 and I restarted both my phone and the FitBit multiple times. The FitBit I restarted by going to Settings, About, Reboot Device and clicking the circled checkmark. I also restarted the FitBit my plugging it in and pressing the button on the side. The only thing restarting has helped with is the pixelated top left of the screen. I upgraded from my Alta for the additional features the Charge 3 has, but the issues I have been experiencing with the Charge 3 are discouraging.

I returned it to Amazon and got a full refund. I will not purchase another one.
Thanks

I was sent a replacement Charge 3, but it is not working! I deleted my original Charge 3, tried installing my replacement Charge 3 and I enter the numbers from the Charge 3 screen into the app, but then it does not really go any further than that. It gives an error when I try to set it up stating a firmware update is needed, but the Charge 3 buzzes and gives a circled exclamation mark. I tried pressing the button on the side, but that does not seem to do anything. I restarted my phone, deleted the replacement Charge 3, and that did not work. I removed the FitBit app entirely from iPhone7, downloaded it again and it still does not work. I am truly frustrated at this point. I want to be able to use a properly functioning product that I paid for, but that does not seem to be happening. I want to know what my options are at this point since the replacement I was sent does not work.

I can bear in mind with your frustration, I too am frustrated with it myself. I never had any problems with Fitbit Charge 3 and I purchased mine for $129.99 from my local Macy's Department store on December 20, 2018 which is nearing 2 years in about another month and half. Mine always worked well and when the Firmware needed update, I did it and it was okay. Then about 2-1/2 weeks back I began noticing my screen start to become lighter and I tried to adjust the brightness, but it didn't seem to make a positive difference, the screen still remained the same and began to get even dimmer and form dim pixel lines. Much to my surprise when I awoke on Sunday October 18, 2020,  tried to check my Charge 3, I couldn't read anything on the screen at all in terms of clock, steps, heart rate etc., all that was on the screen was what looked like pixel lines which then changed to pixel raindrops and then the screen after a few more hours went completely black. I finally logged into the site here, and found that many more Charge 3 owners were having the same problems and that it was increasing in numbers, and now has been going for days since. I myself have tried what was suggested to me by someone with Fitbit Company, and it made no change. I had a friend suggest to me after it began that maybe uninstalling the program and reinstalling it on my phone would perhaps remedy the problem, but it didn't change it. I reinstalled the program, had my Charge 3 charged up and plugged into my computer, felt the vibration that you get with connection and when it came to the number entry, I had no screen on the Charge 3 showing the numbers to type to the program. At this point, all my Charge 3 will do if I run a finger across the back is the Green Flashing light will come on flickering and if the side button is pressed in  few seconds I can feel the vibration and that's it. I wish that whatever the problem is could be corrected. My point in purchasing Charge 3 was because it had other features my Fitbit Charge 2 didn't have and could hold a battery charge longer than Charge 2. I have now been forced to go back to my Charge 2 and trying to keep the battery filled which isn't all that fun because the doesn't stay for as many days as Charge 3. I myself can't go and purchase another Fitbit again, I certainly would have expected it to last longer then current, but I guess that isn't the case, and now I am out close to $140.00. I was happy when I got it, but that happiness is gone and replaced by wonderment as to what happened, why it happened and if it ever will resolve. I sure hope someone can find the solution to whatever has gone wrong with this Fitbit, or they may lose customers to other brands similar.

After much frustration I was able to get the replacement Charge 3 functional. However, it is already pixelating, the 250 step reminder is not working and the battery life does not even compare to the other Charge 3 I had. I now have two Charge 3 Fitbits that do not work properly. What is it going to take to actually get a properly functioning product?
