My band on my last Charge HR started falling apart, so Fitbit sent me a new one since it was still in warranty. Before my replacement arrived, I managed to keep my HR together with some superglue, so I didn't use my new one when it arrived.
Well, my HR finally died, so I pulled out the new one, but when I plugged it in, it wouldn't charge.
When I plug it in, it shows an exclamation mark inside of an empty battery. It then shows a lightning bolt inside of an empty battery. It shows no signs of charging (no battery bars) except for the green light flashing twice when I initially plug it it. When I attempt to reset it, the lights just flash and it displays a battery with an excalamation mark (no version number). If anyone has encountered this problem or has a solution, please let me know.

If you leave a lithium ion battery completely discharged for an extended length of time the battery will be permanently damaged. Phone, fitness tracker, laptop.......... it doesn't matter. All lithium ion batteries work like that.
