No breakdown of sleep quality

Hello,

On Monday I could see it my sleep quality for the night but Tuesday on it is not. It's showing stages of sleep but I don't get the report of how many times I was restless, awake, etc. I really preferred the breakdown of quality over stages. Is there a way to switch back to that view????

help please Smiley Happy

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @PrettyP, hope you're doing great! Smiley Very Happy At this time no my friend, there's no way to switch back to the old sleep view. Now all Alta HR, Blaze, and Charge 2 users have the new sleep feature implemented.

It’s normal to see awake minutes in your sleep stages; studies have shown a typical adult could wake up briefly between 10-30 times per night. If you wake up in the morning feeling like you had a restless night, you may notice more awake minutes in your sleep stages as compared to other nights.

If you previously tracked sleep with Fitbit, your log included the time spent awake, restless, and asleep. We’ve fine-tuned the mechanism we use to track sleep in order to estimate your sleep stages by including heart rate and other data. As a result, we’ve combined the time you spend awake and restless into total awake minutes to give you a better sense of your sleep cycles.

You may notice more awake minutes in sleep stages than in your previous sleep data due to this change.

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your tracker from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your tracker higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your tracker to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your tracker’s battery is critically low.

If there's something else I can help you with, let me know!

So, from what the moderator said, it actually sounds as if you do have a solution—just use the "begin sleep now" feature, and you should get the old data. As I understand it. Hope it works. Nice to be able to choose!

I’m having the same problem. It’s only shown sleep quality twice.  Once was when I slept for one hour and 15 minutes and the other time was when I slept for three hours and three minutes. I’m wearing it tight enough and in the correct place. Help!!

Im kind of having the same issue but the issue I have is that in order to know how many times you were restless exc you have to pay for..... Why is that?? When just last week it wasnt that way.... 🤷🏼‍:female_sign: I would like for it to go back that way only because I have issues sleeping and the fitbit charge2 was the best thing I ever got because it gave me a full detail of my sleep as of how many times I was restless exc

Marre,

What?  So the information is there on the sleep pattern graph - a line with a duration for asleep, restless and awake BUT the sleep quality data shows only mins to fall asleep, and the 0 times awake (clearly not true) and 0 times restless.

As the previous writer started this info was reported on Friday Jan 3 and then since that date its not. How does one fix this or does Fitbit need to fix it at the source. NOT HAPPY!!
