Hi, My name is Judi Wood. I have been trying since Friday night to get my new Charge 3 past the "Setup" screen, but no matter what I try, it is still not working the way it is supposed to work. Please explain why this one is SO hard to set up? The initial problem began when I did what I have ALWAYS done with previous FItbits. I plugged it into my computer. The tracker told me to go to setup. This is what I get EVERY time, and I have tried MANY times. But I keep getting error messages, like this one, "https://www.fitbit.com/en-ca/404". Or, the other error message, on your cover page, it was a little bit more friendly, but equally useless: "Sorry, that page is following a different trail." It IS cute, but equally useless. How DO I get beyond these useless comments and go forward to success in completing my setup?
Thank you for your assistance with this problem. This is not my first Fitbit, and I really would like to enjoy the same success rate as I have with my previous ones.

If your seeing the setup message, it us telling you that the Charge 3 is not setup. Let's choose one phone and turn off the other devices mentioned above.

My iPhione and iPad are off, I just have my computer on with the new Fitbit connected to it. Now, what do I do to get it to set up?
Even the Fitbit 'emo' on the Fitbit is showing his unhappy face. I would really like to get it to work as soon as possible because this is the first of four Fitbits that I have NOT been able to get connected properly on my first attempt and I do NOT want to return it, but I will if it does not work for me. Then I will look for another pedometer, that does work.

Wendy, as I mentioned earlier, my computer, my iPad, and my iPhone all accept the Charge 3 notations. Last night they even told me when it was time to go to bed. The Charge was still showing the same phrase as it has been since Friday. Now it is saying nothing so, like I have said a few times earlier, I will be returning it to the store I bought it at and trying to get another tracker because I am tired of waiting for useless offers of help that mean just more waste of my time (and money, if it really just does not work).

Thank you to those who offered suggestions for help. I finally took the first one back and got a new one. Can you tell that I REALLY like Fitbit? 🙂 I may have been frustrated after five days of trying ALL that I knew to do, trying some of your suggestions and it still would not work. Then, I took it in and asked for a trade off, which they were more than willing to give me. They helped me at the store for a while and we thought we had it started, I took my 'new' Fitbit home. Two hours later, it still was not working, so I told my husband that we would take it back and let the techy type deal with it at the store. So that is what we did. We started it together, then he found out that ALL the charging and attempting to set it up last night at home had done nothing at all. While it was trying to decide what it wanted to do, I did another errand and got that dealt with easily. When I returned to the store, my Charge 3 WAS charging, what a concept! We were almost ready to do a happy dance! Within about half an hour, it had enough charge that we knew we could leave and finish the setup at home. I am wearing it now and it seems to be working fine. It is connected to this computer, my iPad, and my iPhone. My iWatch is going to someone who loves them more than I do! 🙂
